About Maria Andino, Dipl. OM, L.Ac.

As a California Licensed Acupuncturist and Practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Maria has the knowledge of over 4,000 hours of rigorous study and over a decade of private practice. Her mission is to assist you in becoming a healthier and more vibrant version of yourself. She specializes in chronic pain management, cancer treatment support, and women’s health concerns. Maria believes in the holistic values of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and appreciates the positive impact it can have on a person’s life.
She’s always been a perceptive listener. While in the corporate arena, her clients benefited from her ability to look at their concerns from a sympathetic perspective. While helping her corporate clients, she also volunteered for the March of Dimes and Habitat for Humanity, helping those in need. Her departure from her corporate career was hastened by her younger sister’s small cell lung cancer diagnosis. Though her sister succumbed to the disease, it was her sister’s acupuncturist whose compassionate and holistic care impressed her. He was the only healthcare provider who saw her sister as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. Maria realized that her true passion lay in helping others and helping them maintain or achieve better health using holistic medicine.
The wisdom of TCM resonates with Maria. She graduated with a Master’s in Acupuncture and TCM from Yo San University, made the Dean’s list, and was chosen as commencement spokesperson. Maria strives to bring the benefits of TCM to others. She’s routinely worked with cancer patients and their oncologists to manage the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Her support of women with fertility issues and menopausal issues is rooted in her struggles with both concerns. She provided no-cost treatments to veterans at Wellness Works, a non-profit holistic health center located in Glendale, CA. She also believes in passing on her knowledge, having supervised interns at her alma mater and Emperor’s College.
She has a gentle touch and specializes in dealing with needle-phobic patients. Maria welcomes the opportunity to help you maintain your health and wellness or bring you back to good health.
